When you spend the Saturdays of your childhood crocheting while watching Rocky (1-4 only, I’m not a monster) on repeat, it’s only natural that you pretty much to the same thing as an adult.

My first love is crochet, though I mostly knit sweaters these days. My new found love is spinning on my Saxony-style spinning wheel and researching all things fiber. I’ve spent most of my career working as a high school math teacher (which I love), but the transition to knitting teacher in the last few years has been a good one (you all are a much better audience!). I think knitting and math go together so well – and I can’t imagine my life without either one. I hope you’ll find something interesting or new here to pique your curiosity!

This is a picture of me in my favorite place in the world: Sitka, Alaska, where I’ve worked as a tour guide for the last several summers.
